Kartikeya on a whole is very loyal to its genre of suspense thriller. But lack of depth in characters has brought the movie some criticism.
Generally, a movie in which a character is not spoken about much but hinted about in each and every point of the film turns out to be the villain of the movie.The same formula is used here and fails to thrill.
Overall it is a good attempt towards a less tried genre in telugu cinema, but a more clever film would have done wonders for the film.
